MemorySparx Connect is a software platform developed by Emmetros, a technology company that specializes in creating innovative solutions to improve the lives of seniors and people living with cognitive challenges. MemorySparx Connect is designed to help family members and caregivers remotely support their loved ones who may require assistance with daily tasks or who are living with cognitive impairment. One of the key benefits of MemorySparx Connect is that it allows caregivers to monitor their loved one's well-being from a distance. The platform's activity tracker can provide insights into the user's daily routines, while the messaging system allows for regular check-ins and communication. MemorySparx Connect is also designed to be user-friendly and accessible for individuals with cognitive challenges. The platform's interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, with clear icons and large buttons.

 

Care Overhaul

During my time working on MemorySparx I got to do an overhaul of the existed Care portal to better accommodate the needs of caregivers and family members caring for a loved one with cognitive impairments. We needed a area that caregivers, doctors and family members could store and access health information or other care related information. This space needed to be flexible to allow for entries of all types and to be organized as needed to suit the individual. After conversations with stakeholders, customers and the product team we isolated the following requirements:

  • flexible ‘whiteboard’ style where anyone can add text, images or videos related to the individual

  • an area where family and care givers can write important care tips about their loved ones and the ability to pin important ones

  • Journal area for care providers to write notes about their visit.

Day Overhaul

Emmetros' 'Day' feature is a unique and innovative tool that allows care providers and family members to stay connected with their loved ones and share stories throughout the day. This feature provides a platform for open communication, allowing caregivers and family members to stay up-to-date on their loved one's activities and experiences.

By providing a space for real-time updates and interaction, the 'Day' feature can help ease feelings of isolation and loneliness that may be experienced by seniors and individuals with cognitive challenges. It also helps promote engagement and socialization, which are important for maintaining cognitive and emotional well-being.

  • Provide a space where users can share fun moments and stories to allow everyone to feel part of their loved ones care.

  • Let users interact and engage in with shared moments through likes and comments.

Chat Overhaul

Updating a chat feature to include a space for family members and care providers can improve communication and streamline the caregiving process. It allows family members to ask questions and receive timely responses, and provides care providers with valuable feedback that can help them better serve their clients.
